The joys of running water....

yes, I have running water in my kitchen. the new faucet has been positioned at a better angle to fit into the space and I love my sink.
crazy I know, but you know sometimes it's really the little things in life that make you so so very happy.

will work on the island this Saturday...tomorrow night is pageant talent night and Friday night is dinner with friends...so Saturday is work day :-)  Looking forward to the weekend!

Is today the day I will have running water in my kitchen?

Neighbor is here cutting, re-fitting and gluing pvc under our new sink...then I hear, Ya'll have a problem... oh no!
what is the problem?
seems the workers who installed the granite cut the connecting end from the dishwasher, so now the line has to be replaced...
well, beauty comes at a price:-) with patience, victory will be mine!

must, must, must visit the Newnan Re-Store on Saturday. I've been scoping out a certain 1940's buffet, and this weekend EVERYTHING in the store is 20% off AND they sent me a 10% off coupon for Sat. only!
Woo Hoo! I just hope it is still there on Sat! If not, I'm sure I can find something else that will give me my DIY fix.

In the process of getting together picks of the kitchen renovation, although I guess I can't call it a renovation, just a small face lift, but as all face lifts go...it make me smile!

Work today was another good day. Lucky me, how many people love their jobs? Well I am one, so now you know at least one person that enjoys going to work every day :-)

love, love, love my new sink and faucet! neighbor is visiting in a bit to help connect the water lines...then all will be good again in the Universe.

Next weekend is going to be dedicated to the Island build. The granite top for the Island is here, just hanging out on the old Island until the new one is built.
All looks great so far, now we decide on a color for the walls.

Everything in my house is warm, but that may change, I'm considering blue or green for the kitchen and dining area.

Work today was interesting....my day started out chasing a runner and keeping the doors blocked....and ended the day making conversation with colleagues. Today is a good day :-)

Kitchen Sink

We've been waiting for the kitchen sink to arrive, washing dishes in the bathroom sink is a new experience for me. The undercounter plumbing will need to be moved...I will try to move it, but will use the expertise of my fabulous neighbor. Learning so much new DIY stuff...really diggin this new life.

New sink is a large one basin type, composite granite and cocoa brown, and a wondrous new faucet will make my kitchen sing!

Kitchen Island

Then kitchen island started out as a $25 cabinet, a Craigslist find. sanded tonight, putting a new door with pulls for a trash can. adding 2 corbels and a granite counter top. taking before pictures tonight...hmmmm..this a great way to organize my thoughts.

today was a normal day on the job...getting to the end of one goal...making new ones...
